Promptly answers telephone,screenscalls, schedules patient appointments, and takes messages, if department needsrequire.\nActs as a liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.\nProvides radiology reports and/or radiographic images to staff, physicians,patientsand/or family upon request. Files, retrieves, and releases health information records and films. Compiles film jackets/discs and completes required forms/documentation.\nDocuments requested information and promptlycommunicatesobservations, concerns, and needs of the patient with physicians and other members of the health care team.\nCompletes routine maintenance and quality monitoring of imaging equipment using appropriatetechniquewhen cleaning,sterilizingand caring for instruments and other equipment, based on departmentneed.\nAssistswith the screening and documentation of MRI implants based on departmentneed.\nMust be able todemonstrateknowledge and skills necessary to provide careappropriate tothe age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
