This is a hybrid position with the expectation is 2-3 days/week on site.\nPay Range:\n$54.90 - $82.35Major Responsibilities:Coordinates, compiles and reviews the operating and capital expenditure budgets, both annually and for long range planning to achieve desired goals and objectives. Develops and refines budgeting techniques to provide leadership with optimum financial control and planning tools.\nProvides consultation to operating departments on financial modeling and forecasting to establish and maintain financial and budgetary accountability.\nAnalyzes data and offers recommendations to senior leadership, which are in line with Advocate Aurora Health's strategic vision and objectives. Educates leadership on potential implications, identifies key issues, and assists with the interpretation of data and information.\nIdentifies and benchmarks financial opportunities and trends using business and industry as well as competitive analysis. Works with operational leadership to implement operational improvements.\nManages, explains and interprets close results for site(s) or service line leadership. Partners with direct leader and leadership to review and reconcile unusual expenses, unfavorable variances, or cost saving opportunities. Manages and participates in the production of reports and distributions to the organization.\nServes as a resource/liaison for site(s) or service line leadership, corporate finance staff (general accounting and reimbursement, etc.) departments and functions that directly affect the financial performance, and revenue cycle (including managed care), health information management, system logistics, and information technology for the site(s) or service line by providing guidance on policies and procedures, provides direction of financial statement preparation process, consultation on specific finance-related issues or day-to-day operations issues, notification regarding material issues impacting net reimbursement, etc.\nEnsures compliance with financial regulatory and payer requirements.\nInterprets and enforces system, region, PSA, site and entity policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of financial functions and department operations.\nPerforms human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.\nDevelops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.\nResponsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.\nLicensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:\nNone Required.\nEducation Required:\nBachelor's Degree in Finance or related field.\nExperience Required:\nTypically requires 5 years of experience in finance or accounting. Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, modeling, and planning.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:\nExcellent communication skills essential in order to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff. Demonstrated ability to explain complex financial issues to non-financial staff and leadership.\nDemonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) or similar products. Ability to use accounting and financial software, systems, and data retrieval techniques.\nDemonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities.\nStrong relational skills and ability to get things done through teamwork, persuasion and influence\nStrong analytical skills, including ability to review quantitative and qualitative data and reach sound conclusions\nStrong understanding of health care dynamics and economics as it relates to the profitability of various services and the margin contribution available with marginal investment.\nPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:\nMust be able to operate all equipment essential in performing the job.\nGenerally will be exposed to a normal office environment.\nThis position requires some travel; so will be exposed to weather and road conditions.\nThis job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent.
