In this role, you will drive technical strategy, build a high-performing team, and shape the evolution of our platform as Adyen continues to scale globally.\nWhat you'll do\nAs a Kotlin Engineer you will work on solutions for our payment terminals featuring many capabilities, such as:\nAccepting payments using credit cards and debit cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay on mobile phones or accepting payments through QR codes;\nCommunication with the Adyen backend to achieve one platform solution;\nYou will be working on developing our main business logic in Kotlin, which will be deployed on both Android based terminals and mobile phones.\nWe value your input and encourage you to propose innovative solutions. With this freedom comes the responsibility to own your features end-to-end-from design and implementation to testing and monitoring-ensuring a secure and sustainable solution.\nQualifications\nMust haves\nA minimum of 5 years of experience writing code in Kotlin\nA minimum of 8 years of experience building software for the Android platform\nExperience in development of enterprise level SDKs.\nExpert level knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Gradle, Dependency Injection \nTake ownership of features from design and implementation through deployment and maintenance\nA high level of personal accountability and a blend of strong technical skills, creative problem-solving, and a collaborative spirit\nExperience writing and maintaining a comprehensive suite of automated unit and integration tests\nAbility and desire to mentor and grow other engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and over-the-shoulder debuggin\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English \n Good to haves\nExperience with Kotlin Multiplatform for cross-platform development;\nAdditional programming knowledge/experience - C/C++, Python\nCard payment (EMV, ISO8583) knowledge\nExperience with building libraries used by other engineers\nKnowledge about security best practices and standards\nExperience working in payment industry \nOur Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments \nOur unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives.
