Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that help businesses achieve their ambitions faster.\nSenior Software Engineer, US Bank Accounts Team\nWe’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the nascent US Bank Accounts team, building products that enable businesses to open, manage, and move money directly within our ecosystem.\nYou’ll help evolve and scale existing capabilities to enable significant growth, refine and deepen customer experiences, and build new products that expand our offering.\nAs an early member of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to shape technical design, architecture, and roadmap decisions; own projects from beginning to end; and help define the team’s culture and identity.\nYou’ll partner closely with engineering, product, and key stakeholders to turn complex banking needs into reliable, scalable customer experiences. This Chicago-based role is part of the broader Financial Services product organization, which owns the full suite of financial products we offer to our customers.\nWhat you’ll do:\nWork on complex technical projects from requirements analysis through design, implementation, testing and launch into production.\nBring your own point of view on best engineering practices. \nBe hands-on and contribute to the implementation.\nIdentify and improve parts of the platform to make it more robust and scalable.\nYour code will be used at scale and you are expected to think in that mindset when building features.\nWe launch fast and iterate often. Concretely, this means that within your first few weeks, you will bring live functionalities that impact many merchants and shoppers. \nBuild APIs and tooling according to quality principles such as performance and code quality.\nCollaborate across teams and time zones to get projects over the finish line.\nWho you are:\nYou're not just a coder; you're an engineer with an ownership mentality.\nYou have experience with Java, Web Services, REST Apis, Webhooks and SQL/PostgreSql.\nYou have a good understanding of Software Engineering practices and interest in product knowledge.\nYou are familiar with complex large scale distributed systems.\nYou value involving other people to hear different perspectives.\nMinimum qualifications:\n7+ years of experience in the software development industry \nFull professional proficiency in English\nThis role is based out of our Chicago office. We are an office-first company and value in-person collaboration; we do not offer remote-only roles.\nTotal rewards & compensation\nThe annual base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $243,000. Compensation is based on factors including qualifications, experience, and location. Total compensation package includes equity (RSUs), 401(k), health, dental, vision, and more.\nIn-office expectations\nThis role is based in our Chicago office. We're an office-first company and expect employees to work in-office at least 3 days a week on average.
