Purpose of the Job\n\nEnsure that key balance sheet reconciliations are performed in compliance with internal audit and external audit standards.\n\nAssist with both internal and external audit requirements.\n\nEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nReconciling general ledgers, bank statements and balance sheets.\n\nAnalyzing financial data and managing employees and business expenses.\n\nConducting internal audits and variance analyses to identify trends and discrepancies.\n\nMaintain internal controls and accounting systems to support accuracy and prevention of fraud\n\nEnsure that group levels of authority are being adhered to.\n\nPrepare the management accounts monthly.\n\nPreparing financial statements for management, shareholders and tax reporting.\n\nUpload reports into COGNOS – monthly reporting and ad-hoc financial reviews.\n\nResponsible for all VAT and Taxation issues\n\nPrepare monthly VAT returns and reconciliations.\n\nPrepare annual taxation schedules for the company\n\nForecasting cash flow and making recommendations based on performance data.\n\nAuthorizing bank payments\n\nRequirements\n\nMatric\n\nBachelor of Accounting Science (BCOMPT)/ Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)\n\nStrong Mathematical Skills.\n\nStrong financial experience and skill\n\nPresentation skills\n\nBudget preparation\n\nProficient in accounting software such as SAP\n\nIn-depth understanding of accounting rules and practices, such as the Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (IFRS & IAAS)\n\nAbility to work in spreadsheets, with knowledge of formulations and advance functions like pivot tables.\n\nExpert Understanding of financial reports, including analysing and creating them.\n\nBasic tax knowledge\n\nKnowledge of the Chemicals Industry will be advantageous.\n\nComputer literate in MS Office with proficiency in MS Excel\n\nManufacturing experience is essential\n\nAnalysis and Problem Solving\n\nAttention to
