The role is responsible for driving market growth, leading sales and go-to-market activities, overseeing operational and technical functions, and ensuring the effective development and delivery of innovative metallurgical chemical solutions that create sustainable value for customers and AECI.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and execute the Metallurgy business strategy for the Rest of World region, aligned to AECI Mining’s overall strategic objectives\n\nIdentify and capture growth opportunities through market expansion, product portfolio development, innovation, and strategic partnerships\n\nTranslate strategic objectives into actionable business plans with clear financial and operational targets\n\nEnsure effective execution of strategic initiatives and monitor delivery against agreed milestones\n\nDrive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and sustainable profitable growth\n\nLead all sales and go-to-market activities across the defined geography\n\nDeliver profitable revenue growth, market share expansion, and improved customer penetration\n\nIdentify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, market segments, products, and applications\n\nDevelop and approve business cases in accordance with AECI Group commercial governance requirements\n\nEstablish and implement commercial strategies, pricing frameworks, and value propositions that support business growth and profitability\n\nEnsure effective management of major customer accounts and strategic commercial relationships\n\nMaintain full accountability for regional business performance and EBITDA delivery. Develop and manage annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, and capital requirements.\n\nEnsure optimal allocation and utilization of financial, human, manufacturing, technical, and commercial resources.\n\nDrive margin improvement, cost optimization, working capital efficiency, and cash generation initiatives.\n\nEnsure appropriate financial controls, governance, and risk management practices are implemented and maintained\n\nProvide leadership and oversight of operational activities within the region to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient business performance\n\nEnsure alignment between commercial, operational, supply chain, technical service, and R&D activities\n\nDrive implementation of operational excellence initiatives and best practices\n\nEnsure products, services, and technical support consistently meet customer requirements and business objectives\n\nSupport innovation, product development, and technical solution delivery to strengthen AECI’s competitive position\n\nDevelop and maintain strategic relationships with customers, distributors, suppliers, industry bodies, and other key stakeholders\n\nBuild strong engagement with decision-makers at multiple organizational levels within customer and partner organizations\n\nRepresent the Metallurgy business in regional and industry forums, promoting AECI’s capabilities and reputation\n\nFoster collaborative relationships that identify growth opportunities and facilitate the resolution of commercial and operational challenges\n\nEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership development\n\nMonitor and evaluate business performance against strategic, financial, commercial, and operational objectives\n\nEstablish and track key performance indicators and implement corrective actions where required\n\nEnsure compliance with AECI governance requirements, legal obligations, and relevant regulatory standards\n\nDrive a culture of accountability, performance management, and continuous improvement\n\nIdentify and manage business risks and opportunities to support sustainable growth and value creation\n\nLead, develop, and inspire a high-performing regional team\n\nCreate a culture that promotes safety, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer focus\n\nEnsure appropriate succession planning, talent development, and capability-building initiatives are in place\n\nSet clear performance expectations and provide coaching and support to enable individual and team success\n\nChampion AECI values and leadership behaviours across the business\n\nRequirements\n\nBSc/BEng/BTech in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering or a related field\n\nMSc/MEng in Metallurgy, Materials Science related discipline will be advantageous\n\nMBA will be advantageous\n\nMasters in a related field will be advantageous\n\n15-20+ years of progressive experience in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, Smelting, refining or related industrial operations\n\nAt least 5-10 years in Senior Management / General Management leadership roles\n\nProven track record of delivering sustainable commercial growth and sales excellence across diverse markets\n\nProven experience working across multiple countries or international operations\n\nExperience managing or supporting multinational metallurgical operations and geographically dispersed teams\n\nDemonstrated ability to transfer metallurgical and operational best practices between international sites\n\nExperience working with international clients, joint-venture partners, technology providers, consultants, regulators and suppliers\n\nExposure to different regulatory, labour, cultural and operating environments\n\nExperience implementing international best practices and globally recognised operational standards\n\nWillingness and ability to travel internationally and work across
