To support product development, problem-solving, and continuous improvement through technical investigations, reporting, and project participation.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform qualitative and quantitative chemical and microbiological analysis on various samples, including record keeping.\n\nProduce written reports on the relevant sections of laboratory work performed.\n\nEnsure that laboratory reagents and consumables are maintained at an optimum within the laboratory.\n\nMaintain and/or arrange for maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.\n\nParticipate in projects alongside the senior analyst and Development Chemist.\n\nInvestigate methods where problems have been identified and develop new methods as and when required.\n\nFamiliarize oneself with the laboratory safety requirements and operate the laboratory in accordance with this practice.\n\nMaking up of reagents for Customer Services Laboratory.\n\nRequirements\n\nA minimum of a National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or Microbiology is required.\n\nComputer Literacy is important.\n\nLaboratory experience, the incumbent should know, understand and be able to perform all analytical procedures, test methods and analysis done in the laboratory.\n\nCertain practices and procedures must be mastered: Laboratory safety must be studied.\n\nFamiliarity with ISO procedures relating to
