prepares job cards and verifies that the correct raw materials are received.\n\nThe role requires coordination with Raw Materials, Planning, and other departments to ensure smooth production processes.\n\nThe Plant Operator ensures vessels and pipes are properly cleaned to prevent cross‑contamination.\n\nThey follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.\n\nEquipment such as mixers, pumps, stirrers, and mills is operated in accordance with guidelines.\n\nThe individual completes log sheets, collects product samples, and ensures quality standards are met.\n\nWill be required to drive a forklift and should be medically fit to operate a forklift and maintain annual licence requirements.\n\nThe operator maintains a clean, safe, and compliant working environment and assists with stock takes, problem‑solving, and additional tasks as needed.\n\nThe Plant Operator ensures that machinery and equipment under their responsibility are safe and well‑maintained.\n\nThe role involves identifying and maintaining critical spare parts, reporting breakdowns, and supporting maintenance teams.\n\nPreventative maintenance activities and supervision of contractors may also be required.\n\nAdhere to all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards and procedures.\n\nIdentify and report incidents, hazards, near misses and process safety incidents.\n\nMaintain high housekeeping standards and ensure safe working conditions.\n\nHandle hazardous, flammable and toxic materials in accordance with site procedures.\n\nAssist with the production of trial batches and new product development activities when required.\n\nRequirements\n\nMinimum Grade 12.\n\nRequires a diploma in Chemical engineering and chemical plant operations.\n\nA minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a Chemical plant or manufacturing environment.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nWill be required to drive a forklift and should be medically fit to operate a forklift and maintain annual licence requirements.\n\nExtensive computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\n\nAbility to work independently as well
