Join us.\n Role:\nWe are seeking a 2-3 years experienced Airside Geometric & Grading Engineer to support the planning and detailed design of airport airside infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, rapid exit taxiways, holding bays, aircraft stands and associated airside pavements.\nThe candidate will be responsible for carrying out geometric design, grading and levels development, preparation of design drawings and coordination with pavement, drainage, utilities, electrical and other airport engineering disciplines.\nKey Responsibilities:\nUndertake horizontal and vertical geometric design of airport airside infrastructure in accordance with applicable ICAO, FAA, DGCA and project-specific requirements.\nDevelop grading and level designs for:Runways and runway strips\nTaxiways and taxiway intersections\nRapid Exit Taxiways (RET)\nAprons and aircraft stands\nHolding bays and link taxiways\nService roads and other airside infrastructure\n\nPrepare and review longitudinal profiles, cross-sections, grading plans and setting-out drawings.\nDevelop grading solutions considering:Aircraft operational requirements\nLongitudinal and transverse slopes\nSight-distance requirements\nPavement drainage\nExisting ground conditions\nTie-in with existing airside facilities\n\nPrepare earthwork quantities and cut-and-fill calculations and assist in optimizing grading to minimize earthworks.\nDevelop and maintain Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors and grading models.\nCoordinate airside grading with stormwater drainage, pavement, utilities, AGL, navigational aids and other infrastructure.\nReview topographical survey data and identify discrepancies, constraints and interface issues affecting the design.\nAssist in preparation of detailed design drawings, GFC drawings, design reports, technical specifications and BOQs.\nCarry out design checks against applicable airport geometric design standards.\nSupport senior engineers in airport master planning, feasibility studies and detailed engineering design.\nParticipate in interdisciplinary coordination and resolve design interfaces with other engineering disciplines.\nAssist in responding to technical queries from clients, contractors and site teams.\nReview drawings and models prepared by junior team members / CAD technicians, where required.\nSoftware Skills:\nAutoCAD\nCivil 3D\nMS Excel\nEducational Qualification:\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institution.\nExperience:\n2-3 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure design.\nExperience in airport / airside infrastructure design will be preferred.\nCandidates with strong experience in highway geometric design and Civil 3D, and an interest in transitioning to airport engineering, may also be considered.\n Desired Competencies:\nGood understanding of civil engineering fundamentals and geometric design principles.\nStrong Civil 3D modelling and drawing production skills.\nAbility to interpret survey data and develop practical grading solutions.\nGood analytical and problem-solving capability.\nAttention to detail and ability to perform independent design checks.\nAbility to work in a multidisciplinary design environment.\nGood communication and coordination skills.\nWillingness to learn airport-specific design standards and practices.\nAbility to manage assigned deliverables within agreed timelines\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
