AECOM i s seeking anAssistant Pre-Construction Manager to be based inNew York, NY.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Confer with a broad range of technical, professional, and managerial personnel as well as designers, consultants, and contractors to coordinate and establish a detailed cost estimate.
- Review and/or ensure the preparation of detailed cost estimates for all phases of design and/or construction.
- Supervise the development of quantity surveys and cost evaluations relating to design documents, contract drawings, specifications, or contract changes.
- Participate in cost negotiations.
- Plan, assign and review the cost-estimating work of other AECOM or Consultant estimators.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Review drawings, specifications and other project documents for conformance with project scope of work; analyze and develop staging and logistical plans based on project specific conditions.
- Collaborate with marketing team, prepare responses to RFP’s and make presentations to potential new clients.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Requirements:
- Excellence in calculating prime time, labor escalation, and unstandardized coefficient.
- Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in architecture, construction management, engineering, environmental services, or related coursework.
- Eight years of experience as an estimator.
- Experience in the New York and New Jersey marketplace is preferred.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
