Join us.\n We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Assistant Project Manager to join our Civil Infrastructure team based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will support the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex civil infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist the Project Manager in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans\nCoordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure smooth project execution\nMonitor project progress, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies\nPrepare and analyze project reports, including status updates, cost forecasts, and performance metrics\nSupport the procurement process, including vendor selection and contract management\nEnsure compliance with local authorities requirements, safety regulations, and quality standards in Abu Dhabi and the UAE\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize project outcomes\nParticipate in site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality\nAssist in change management processes and document control\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned documentation\nSupport the implementation of sustainable construction practices in infrastructure projects.\nMinimum Experience\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field\n5 years of experience in civil infrastructure projects, with a focus on roads, bridges, or utilities\nProficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) and AutoCAD\nStrong knowledge of construction methodologies, techniques, and best practices\nExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously\nProven track record in project planning, scheduling, and cost control\nOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams\nAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities\nFamiliarity with ADQCC, local authorities requirements and regulations in the UAE\nUnderstanding of contract management and procurement processes\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nKnowledge of sustainable construction practices and their application in infrastructure projects.\nOther Requirements\nFamiliarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software is a plus\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred\nWillingness to travel to project sites within the UAE as required.\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
