Join us.\n Key Responsibilities\nSupervise the construction of gravity sewer pipelines, manholes, inspection chambers, house connections, laterals, tie-ins, and associated sewer structures.\nEnsure all works comply with approved IFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, method statements, material approvals, ITPs, and authority requirements.\nMonitor excavation, shoring, dewatering, bedding, pipe laying, jointing, pipe surround, backfilling, compaction, and reinstatement activities.\nVerify pipeline alignment, gradients, invert levels, coordinates, and connection details in coordination with the Survey Team.\nReview and provide technical input on shop drawings, RFIs, technical queries, inspection requests, method statements, and related submissions.\nSupervise and witness leakage tests, deflection tests, flow tests, CCTV inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.\nReview CCTV inspection reports and ensure timely closure of defects, observations, and corrective actions.\nCoordinate sewer interfaces with roads, stormwater, potable water, irrigation, dry utilities, buildings, and other infrastructure systems.\nIdentify construction constraints, utility clashes, and technical issues, and coordinate effective resolutions.\nLiaise with the Resident Engineer, Contractor, Design Team, QA/QC Team, Surveyors, Inspectors, Client representatives, and relevant authorities.\nLead and provide technical guidance to Sewer Inspectors and other site supervision personnel.\nMonitor contractor performance, including manpower deployment, equipment utilization, workmanship quality, and construction sequencing.\nEnsure non-conforming works are identified, rectified, re-inspected, and formally closed.\nEnforce compliance with HSE requirements, particularly for deep excavations, confined space entries, shoring systems, lifting operations, and dewatering activities.\nCoordinate inspections, testing approvals, and authority clearances with TAQA WS and other relevant stakeholders.\nSupport snagging, de-snagging, final inspections, commissioning, and project handover activities.\nReview and verify as-built drawings, testing records, O&M manuals, authority approvals, and project close-out documentation.\nPrepare and maintain progress reports, site records, inspection logs, and technical documentation.\nPreferred Skills\nStrong understanding of QA/QC procedures and inspection requirements.\nProficiency in reviewing technical drawings and engineering documents.\nKnowledge of utility coordination and multidisciplinary infrastructure interfaces.\nAbility to lead site teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in a construction environment.\n Required Qualifications & Experience\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.\nMinimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with significant experience in sewerage networks and utility infrastructure works.\nExperience in the UAE/GCC and familiarity with TAQA Water Solutions (TAQA WS) standards and procedures is highly preferred.\nStrong knowledge of sewer network construction, testing, commissioning, and authority approval processes.\nExcellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
