Join us.\n Start here. Grow here.\nAre you ready to take on the role of Associate Director - Civil Engineer - Renewable Energy in our rapidly expanding renewable energy team. You will be responsible for undertaking a technical role on projects within our energy business; typically, our projects are associated with the generation, storage, transmission and distribution of energy both in the UK and Ireland and countries throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).\nProjects include all stages of design from feasibility to detailed design and site construction supervision both in the UK and internationally. Our clients are a mix between large energy utility generators to private developers.\nHere’s what you’ll do:\nAs our new Associate Director - Civil Engineer - Renewable Energy, you will be a senior member of the team and responsible for developing and leading project delivery and developing and maintaining client relationships. A particular focus will be on leading and growing the team’s technical engineering capabilities.\nYou will review and generate technical and contractual information from both internal and external sources.\nOther aspects of the role include:\nLiaise with clients, manage project work on a day-to-day basis and ensure that the work is delivered within the agreed timescale and budgets.\nCoordinate multi-disciplinary design of renewable energy infrastructure.\nRespond to technical queries raised by project teams.\nAct as Lead Verifier on projects including technical feasibility studies and design reports in the capacity of lead structural engineering.\nDirect members of staff and mentor graduate engineers.\nSuccessful candidates will be deployed to work on different projects and will include leading engineering teams for the following types of technologies.\nOn and offshore wind\nSolar PV\nHydroelectric - run of river and pumped storage\nGrid connection works - cable route and substation civil\nHydrogen production and storage\nBattery energy storage systems (BESS)\nIf you're passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you.
