AECOM’s Defence team is growing across the United Kingdom, and we are seeking suitably experienced individuals to join us. Based within commutable distance of either our Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds offices you will support a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work, whilst initially being required to provide significant onsite attendance in the Bolton area.\nOur work spans the full Defence estate, from accommodation, training, and operational facilities to secure technology, aviation, and specialist infrastructure. As part of our integrated delivery team, you will help shape, plan, and deliver projects that directly support UK Defence capability, ensuring the Armed Forces have the facilities required to operate effectively and safely.\nThe Role\nAs an Associate / Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects or defined work packages, from early-stage development through to construction and handover.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead major projects (£100m+) in the Industrial and/ or Defence sector.\nAct as Project Manager and Employers Agent, managing contractual processes and commercial positions\nKey day to day point of contact for the client, you will be leading a commission for Project Management, incorporating site supervision and drawing on wider disciplines where necessary.\nWork as the Employers Agent to represent and administer JCT Design and Build contracts.\nManage programme, cost, and risk, ensuring robust project controls are maintained\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships across multiple stakeholders\nSupport and mentor junior team members, contributing to team capability and growth\nEnsure compliance with governance, approvals processes, and security requirements\nMinimum Requirements\nExperience delivering infrastructure or industrial projects, ideally within MOD, DIO, or similarly regulated environments related to the defence sector.\nStrong working knowledge of JCT Design and Build contracts\nPrior and proven experience working as an Employers Agent.\nExperience working within multi-disciplinary teams across design and construction\nAbility to manage stakeholders across client, contractor, and end-user groups\nStrong communication and organisational skills\nEligible for UK Security Clearance (SC or higher)\nEnjoy the Perks.\nAt AECOM, you'll enjoy a range of core and personalised benefits designed to support your future and well-being, customised to fit your lifestyle.
