Join us.\n AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Aviation Design Project Manager for immediate employment for the Oakland, Orange, or Los Angeles, CA office.\nJob Summary/Responsibilities\nPerforming a wide array of aviation-related civil design, planning, construction support, and client management services for General Aviation and Commercial Air Service Airports\nPlan, direct, and monitor all aspects of small and large multi-discipline projects involving the design of airport engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, vehicle service roads, airfield lighting and signage installation, navigational aids, drainage improvements, utility relocation and protection, and pavement rehabilitation\nMentor and develop staff, provide leadership and an environment that encourages teamwork, initiative and growth\nGuide project teams on complex technical issues\nSupervision, coordination, and production of several projects concurrently\nBuilds and maintains positive client relationships\nInvolved in marketing/business development including the ability to market and win work. \nDevelop strategy, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and execute projects. \nCoordinate staffing plan and workload through the entire project development duration while meeting project schedules and budgets\nControl overall project cost and scope, schedule, and quality of work \nImplement project QA/QC and work with Finance & Accounting, Controller, Department Manager, or Managing Principles for project reviews\nPreparation of engineering design reports, project definition documents, construction plans, and contract documents / technical specifications\nSignificant design and construction oversight for multiple general aviation clients\nCollaborating and/or coordinating design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians\nCoordination with clients, funding agencies, FAA and local permit agencies\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:\nBA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education with an emphasis on design\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nExperience managing $5MM contract value projects\nBachelors of Science - Civil Engineering plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education\nExperience in preparation of Project Reports, Feasibility Studies, and PS&Es for Aviation projects\nA proven track record of marketing/selling services to Aviation clients \nProfessional Engineer License in CA \nMinimum of 8 years experience including 8 years of project management in the aviation market sector\nAvailable to travel to clients and projects in Southern California Nevada and other states within the region\n U.S. citizenship is required for this position.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
