Join us.\n AECOM is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Bridge Inspector/Technician IV to join our engineering consulting team in the Kentucky and Ohio River Valley. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading bridge and transportation structure inspections, including routine, in-depth, and non-redundant steel tension member inspections, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves coordinating and conducting field inspections, preparing detailed reports, and assisting with project planning and client communications.\nThis opportunity may include bridge design and load rating work. \nKey Responsibilities:\nLead and conduct field inspections of bridges and other transportation structures following NBIS (National Bridge Inspection Standards) and other relevant regulations.\nSupervise and mentor bridge inspection team members, ensuring quality and safety in all inspection activities.\nEvaluate structural integrity and document deficiencies, deterioration, and maintenance needs through detailed reports, sketches, and photographs.\nUtilize inspection tools, software, and drones (as applicable) to perform comprehensive structure assessments.\nPrepare inspection reports, load ratings, and rehabilitation recommendations in accordance with industry standards.\nCoordinate with clients, government agencies, and internal teams to ensure project timelines and expectations are met.\nMaintain compliance with safety protocols and best practices for working at heights, in confined spaces, and near active roadways.\nAssist in the development of bridge maintenance and rehabilitation strategies for clients\nMinimum Requirements:\nHS + 6 Years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education\nAbility to pass Motor Vehicles Record (MVR) check\nCurrent NBIS Team Leader or NBIS Team Leader Certification required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n Experience: Six (6) + years of U.S. bridge inspection experience, with two years + of bridge inspection team leadership highly preferred.\nCertifications: SPRAT/IRATA certification for rope access is a plus.\n Technical Skills: Proficiency in bridge inspection software (i.e., AASHTOWare BrM), AutoCAD, MicroStation, and structural analysis tools.\nPhysical Requirements: Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including climbing structures, working at heights, and exposure to varying weather conditions.\nOther: Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n Position requires frequent travel to project work sites.\nNo relocation offered\nAECOM does not offer U.S. work sponsorship or sponsorship transfer with this opportunity.\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
