Join us.\n AECOM is actively seeking a Central Texas Municipal Project Manager for immediate employment in Austin, Texas. This candidate will be responsible for the overall management and administration of assigned projects and assists in establishing project-specific objectives and policies.\nThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:\nProvides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and serves as the primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.\nOversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.\nAdministers the project from budgeting and scheduling stages through procurement and contract closeout, with significant profit and loss responsibility for assigned projects.\nManages project budgets, tracks expenditures, and implements cost control measures to ensure projects remain within approved financial parameters while maintaining quality standards.\nDevelops and maintains comprehensive project schedules, monitors progress against milestones, and implements corrective actions to address schedule variances.\nCoordinates with municipal clients, city departments, and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals, permits, and compliance documentation throughout the project lifecycle.\nPrepares and presents regular project status reports, financial summaries, and performance metrics to AECOM leadership and municipal stakeholders.\nIdentifies and manages project risks, develops mitigation strategies, and ensures compliance with all applicable municipal codes, design standards, and regulatory requirements.\nLeads and mentors project team members, including engineers, supervisors, and support staff, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional development.\n Minimum Requirements:\nBA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nTexas PE.\nUS Citizenship is a requirement for this role. \nPreferred Qualifications\nIdeally 10+ years of experience directly managing municipal infrastructure projects for cities in Texas, with a strong preference for experience specifically within Austin.\nExperience in proposal writing and job scoping.\nStrong understanding of Central Texas City Standards, municipal design guidelines, and TxDOT and Austin area mobility initiatives.\nExperience presenting project updates and proposals to City Council members, department heads, and community groups.\nProven ability to effectively communicate with diverse project stakeholders, including city staff, elected officials, consultants, and the public.\nExperience working on municipal roadway projects, including urban and rural road reconstruction/widening, intersection improvements, and active transportation infrastructure.\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
