AECOM is an American infrastructure consulting firm that became independent in 1990 through a management buyout from the energy group Ashland, and is now one of the largest design and engineering organisations in the world. It plans, designs and manages delivery of transport systems, water and wastewater infrastructure, buildings, environmental remediation and energy projects for public agencies and private developers across roughly one hundred and fifty countries. Headquartered in Dallas after relocating from Los Angeles, the company sold its self-perform construction and government services arms to concentrate on higher-margin professional services rather than carrying construction risk.

Job duties may include:

Learn to use software like MII/MCACES and Primavera. Responsibilities may include performing quantity takeoffs, pricing labor, equipment and materials, developing indirect cost models, calculating escalation, and producing total project cost rollups.

· Collaborate: Coordinate with multiple disciplines on small to mega projects to determine the best civil design.

· Deliver Quality: Oversee and review work produced by others, as well as following all quality control measures to ensure timely and accurate results.

· Explore and Harness: Seek opportunities to innovate and trial new methods by being inquisitive and forward thinking.

· Additional work includes:

  • Perform peer reviews, conduct site visits at active construction sites to examine field conditions, site work that is under construction, and as built conditions
  • Assist with proposals, presentations, and design charrettes, as needed.

· Pursue Your Future at AECOM: You can build the position into anything you want: technical leadership, people management, project management, and business development. These roles are equally important and equally valued.
