Join us.\n AECOM is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our growing Water, Wastewater, and Conveyance team inColumbus, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early career engineer to begin building a rewarding career while supporting the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.\nThe successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary project teams while developing technical skills in engineering design, hydraulic analysis, utility infrastructure, and project delivery. This position provides excellent opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and career growth within one of the world's leading infrastructure consulting firms.\nThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:\nAssist in the planning and design of municipal water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, force mains, gravity sewers, pump stations, and conveyance infrastructure.\nPrepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents under the guidance of senior engineers.\nDevelop engineering drawings utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software.\nAssist with hydraulic calculations and system evaluations for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.\nSupport the preparation of technical memorandums, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and engineering reports.\nParticipate in field investigations, site visits, construction observations, and condition assessments as required.\nAssist with project documentation, data collection, and engineering analyses.\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical, and environmental engineers.\nSupport permitting activities and ensure engineering work complies with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.\nLearn and apply AECOM engineering standards, quality procedures, and safety practices while contributing to successful project delivery.\n Minimum Qualifications\nBS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline\nDue to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.\nPreferred Qualifications\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain shortly after hire.\nInternship, co-op, undergraduate research, or related engineering experience.\nCoursework or project experience involving water resources, hydraulics, environmental engineering, or municipal infrastructure.\nExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D through coursework, internships, or academic projects.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.\nExposure to GIS, hydraulic modeling software (WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater Pro, InfoWorks ICM, Bentley OpenFlows), or similar engineering software through coursework or internships is a plus.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nStrong desire to develop professionally while working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.\n Relocation assistance is not available for this position.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
