Join us.\n AECOM is seeking a Construction Resident Project Manager to join our Construction Management teams in the New York City Metropolitan area. The selected candidate will support and lead highway and bridge transportation projects, working closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. This role offers the opportunity to oversee project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards while contributing to critical infrastructure improvements across the region.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nProvide oversight of the field construction inspectors during the project construction phase including; preparation of inspectors daily work schedules, ensuring site safety monitoring, technical oversight, quality of construction, and Client satisfaction\nAccountable for the planning, coordination and inspection and construction management activities and assignments of all direct reporting staff to ensure efficient utilization of staffing\nBalance work in the project office with the senior management team and also provide supervision of the field inspection teams working nights and weekends. Interface with contractors to ensure coordination of construction activities and to meet aggressive project schedules\nEvaluate, resolve and provide solutions to contractors and construction inspectors for constructability issues encountered at construction sites\nExperience in the evaluation and validation of contractors change order requests against contract documents, negotiating change orders costs and schedule impacts and make recommendations to the Construction Manager and Program Manager\nPerform inspection and resident engineering activities on highway bridge related projects, construction site safety standards and operations requirements\nDevelop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and overall project delivery\nManage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting to senior management and clients\nCoordinate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, utility companies, and local communities to ensure smooth project execution\nImplement and oversee quality control processes to maintain high standards of construction and compliance with relevant codes and regulations\nConduct regular project status meetings and prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders\nIdentify and mitigate potential risks to project success, developing contingency plans as necessary\nEnsure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle\nMentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing\nParticipate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations, to support company growth\n Minimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s Degree plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education\nTransit and Transportation Experience\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExcellent written communications and presentation abilities in internal project settings with, the senior management team, external project stakeholders including senior client management leadership\n4 plus years of experience in resident engineering, construction management, project management, engineering and related fields is preferred\nExcellent interpersonal skills, staff supervision, strong negotiation skills and conflict resolution abilities\nExperience with NYSDOT, or NYCDOT projects. A P.E.
