AECOM is an American infrastructure consulting firm that became independent in 1990 through a management buyout from the energy group Ashland, and is now one of the largest design and engineering organisations in the world. It plans, designs and manages delivery of transport systems, water and wastewater infrastructure, buildings, environmental remediation and energy projects for public agencies and private developers across roughly one hundred and fifty countries. Headquartered in Dallas after relocating from Los Angeles, the company sold its self-perform construction and government services arms to concentrate on higher-margin professional services rather than carrying construction risk.

AECOM is seeking a Construction Scheduler to help coordinate federal facility assessment and hurricane recovery work in Kauai, Hawaii. Activities may progress from building inspections and urgent weatherproofing to drying, debris clearance, utility work, and permanent repairs. You will collect progress updates from the field, maintain schedules and look ahead plans, and show how a delay or site constraint affects upcoming work. By keeping activity dates and assumptions current, you will help construction managers and subcontractors plan their next steps and communicate changes across the project team.

This role will require an onsite presence in Kauai, Hawaii and is eligible for per diem related expenses when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and update construction schedules, milestones, and short term look ahead plans.
  • Collect progress information from construction managers, subcontractors, and field teams.
  • Track activity logic, critical path, procurement dates, access constraints, and schedule changes.
  • Prepare schedule reports, progress charts, and variance explanations for project review.
  • Support evaluation of delays, work sequencing alternatives, and recovery options.
  • Coordinate schedule data with cost, logistics, engineering, and construction teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field and 4+ years of construction scheduling for facilities or infrastructure projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check in accordance with company policy.
  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of construction scheduling for facilities or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience scheduling federal facility or infrastructure construction projects.
  • Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 or comparable scheduling software.

At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
