Join us.\n AECOM is seeking a highly talented Dams Engineering Project Manager to join the East Region Dams Team. This position will support a variety Dam Safety Engineering projects across the East Region.\nThe successful candidate will join the ENR consistently ranked #1 Dams and Reservoirs firm and have access to exciting career advancement opportunities. This position will report to one of the AECOM offices in the East Region including but not limited to Atlanta, Georgia; Buffalo, New York; Charlotte, North Carolina; Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; Franklin, Tennessee; Germantown, Maryland; Latham, New York; or Tampa, Florida.\nThe selected individual will perform the roles of a Project Manager such as maintaining client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial management, technical management, change management and project team management including subcontractors.\nThe expectation for this position is a client facing role with ownership and responsibility for the successful delivery of dam engineering projects and programs including business development and proposal preparation for new and existing clients. The selected individual will provide technical support for projects including analyses, design, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, risk assessments, site inspections, construction observation and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of hydraulic structures.\nThe job responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:\nPerform the roles of a Project Manager such as maintaining client relationships, contracting, project planning and execution, financial management, technical management, change management and project team management including subcontractors.\nClient facing role with ownership and responsibility for the successful delivery of dam engineering projects and programs including business development and proposal preparation for new and existing clients.\nProvide technical support for projects including analyses, design, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, risk assessments, site inspections, construction observation and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of hydraulic structures.\nPerforming dam analysis and design such as hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, inspection and maintenance plans, emergency action plans, dam breach analyses, and alternative analyses.\nBuild and maintain project schedules for delivering project success including the management of resources, budgets and risk.\nPlan and manage the execution of field investigations for various hydraulic structures and embankments.\nCommunicate with multi-disciplinary teams on various projects related to dams and other hydraulic structures.\nPerform quality reviews of other Engineer's work on deliverables such design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings and technical specifications.\nProvide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.\nFlexibility and willingness to travel for project work part time as needed.\n MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:\nBA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education\nLicensed as a Professional Engineer in at least one state or successful completion of the Principles of Engineering (PE) exam within the first six months of employment\nProven experience with dams and other hydraulic structures, including rehabilitation and/or new design and construction\nThis position requires occasional travel to project sites, both local and remote.\nValid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review\nDue to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nMaster's degree in Civil Engineering or related field\nExperience leading multi-disciplinary project teams\nExperience in relevant water resources engineering software programs such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS\nAbility to complete the Managing AECOM Projects training and receive the AECOM Project Manager certification\nExperience in relevant software programs such as Microsoft Power BI and Project, Primavera P6 Bluebeam and project management information systems (PMIS) such as Procore and e-Builder\n Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.\nRelocation is not available for this position. \nTHIS POSTING IS FOR A CURRENT VACANCY, AND AECOM INTENDS TO FILL THIS POSITION NO SOONER THAN JANUARY 30, 2027.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
