AECOM is seeking qualified individuals to be a part of our Novi, Michigan underwater inspection team as an Engineer Diver - Civil IV. This role will provide the opportunity to directly be involved with underwater structural assessments on projects throughout the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • This position will require performing and assisting with surface supplied diving operations.
  • Execute each project ensuring a satisfied customer including legal requirements such as: ADCI regulations, USACE provisions and state and federal laws.
  • Ensuring the safety of all divers and equipment, participating in safety briefings, and responding to emergencies.
  • Maintaining accurate records of diving operations.
  • Generation of detailed inspection reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Valid Driver’s license- MVR check required.
  • ACDE Dive School Diploma or Military Diving Diploma.
  • ADCI Air Diver Certification (Or ability to obtain with Military Experience).
  • US citizenship is required for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • PE License.
  • FHWA-NHI-130055 or 130056 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Certification.
  • FHWA-NHI-130091 Underwater Bridge Inspection.
  • ADCI Air Diving Supervisor.
  • TWIC Card.
  • AECOM is not offering relocation with this opportunity.
  • Out of state travel may be up to 2 weeks at a time on rare occurrences.
  • Competitive per diem provided for meals, lodging, and travel.
