Join us.\n We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai South, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will take a leadership position in designing and analyzing complex geotechnical solutions for major infrastructure and development projects across the region. You will combine your technical expertise with innovative problem-solving to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with cross-functional disciplines. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to transformative projects in one of the world's most dynamic construction environments.\nGeneral\nPerforms specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.\nGathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.\nWorks on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.\nProposes approach to solve new problems encountered.\nIdentifies discrepancies in results.\nProvides guidance to entry level engineers.\nPerforms work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.\nSpecific\nThe candidate should have specific experience in the following.\nGeotechnical Investigations\nAssessment of Geotechnical Parameters\nPreparation of Ground Models for different design situations\nThe candidate should also have specific experience in 3 or more of the following.\nShallow Foundation Design\nDeep Foundation Design\nEarthworks (Embankment) Design\nSlope Design\nExcavation Lateral Support Design\nGround Improvement Design\nLiquefaction Assessment\nThe following would be considered beneficial\nShallow Foundation Design\nDeep Foundation Design\nEarthworks (Embankment) Design\nSlope Design\nExcavation Lateral Support Design\nGround Improvement Design\nLiquefaction Assessment\nGeophysical Survey\nSeismic Design\nGeotechnics of dam design\nThe knowledge of the following software packages or their equivalent would be an advantage.\nSlope/W or Slide\nSeep/W\nPlaxis 2D or RS2 or Sigma/W\nRepute, Group and LPile\nPDisp or Settle 3D\nCPeT-IT\nCLiq or Liquefy-Pro\nA 3D FEM would be considered an advantage.\n Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline\nMinimum 3-5 years of professional geotechnical engineering experience\nDemonstrated expertise in geotechnical design, site investigation, and foundation engineering\nProficiency with geotechnical analysis and design software such as PLAXIS, GEO-STUDIO, or similar platforms\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex geotechnical challenges\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear technical documentation and reports\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent qualification (preferred)\nExperience working on infrastructure, transportation, or large-scale building projects\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with earth retaining systems design and underground works\nFamiliarity with UAE construction standards, soil conditions, and regional geotechnical considerations\nProject management experience and demonstrated ability to lead technical teams\nKnowledge of quality assurance, compliance, and safety protocols in geotechnical engineering\nExperience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development\nAdvanced certifications or specialized training in geotechnical engineering disciplines\nKey Attributes\nPassionate about geotechnical and underground engineering with a commitment to technical excellence\nDetail-oriented with a strong organizational skill set and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nCollaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments and values transparent communication\nInnovative thinker who approaches challenges with creativity and resilience\nGoal-oriented professional dedicated to delivering results on schedule and within budget\nSupportive mentor who is invested in the growth and development of team members\nAdaptable and decisive, with the ability to navigate complex project requirements and stakeholder expectations\nWillingness to travel to project sites and participate in site meetings as required\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
