Join us.\n We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our construction team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will provide on-site supervision and technical expertise for mechanical systems in building construction projects. You will oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment while ensuring compliance with local building codes and international standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex mechanical systems in a fast-paced construction environment.\nSupervise and coordinate mechanical installation activities on construction sites, ensuring work meets design specifications and quality standards\nInspect mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, and other building systems to verify proper installation and functionality\nAnalyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to identify potential issues and develop solutions\nConduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on project progress, compliance, and any deviations from plans\nCoordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems\nEnsure adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory requirements throughout all construction phases\nTroubleshoot mechanical system issues and implement corrective actions promptly\nMaintain organized documentation including inspection records, test reports, and commissioning data\nCommunicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders regarding site conditions and project status\nParticipate in equipment commissioning and handover procedures to ensure systems operate as designed\nManage and mentor on-site mechanical teams to maintain high performance standards\n Bachelor's degree in mechanical preferred\nProven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 8 years in building construction site supervision\nStrong knowledge of mechanical systems in commercial and residential buildings (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.)\nExperience preparing technical reports and construction documentation\nAbility to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment\nExperience with construction projects in the United Arab Emirates\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
