AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Philadelphia on October 7-8, 2026. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027.
The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.
On Thursday, interviews will take place at our Philadelphia office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.
AECOM's Digital Practice and Technology group is seeking an Entry-Level BIM Specialist for their office in Philadelphia, PA.
The selected candidate will support BIM professionals while learning industry standards, software, and project workflows. The position is designed to provide hands-on experience in Building Information Modeling for architecture, engineering, and construction projects.
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Assists with creating and modifying 3D models, 3D CAD elements, and point cloud data.
- Remote and office-based work with various departments to integrate imagery into presentations using existing software.
- Assist in creating and maintaining standards, processes, and goals.
- Works under direct supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or Architecture.
- Due to nature of work involved, US Citizenship is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of point cloud, LiDAR, and survey data and their application within BIM and digital engineering workflows.
- Understanding of how survey and point cloud data is collected, processed, and incorporated into 3D models and design platforms.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration within BIM environments.
- Willingness to travel to project sites for model validation, field coordination, data collection, and project support activities.
- Demonstrated desire to learn and adapt to new software applications, digital workflows, and emerging technologies.
- Interest in advancing skills related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, scripting, coding, and data-driven BIM solutions.
- Familiarity with programming languages or tools such as Python, C#, VBA, PowerShell, Dynamo, Grasshopper, or Bentley/OpenRoads automation tools is a plus.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Relocation is not available for this position.
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
