This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.\nAECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our AECOM Transportation Department in our Hunt Valley, MD office. Our people bring deep industry knowledge to help you succeed.\nAs an Entry-Level Structural Engineer, you will work with multi-discipline project teams in developing a range of engineering solutions from initial concepts to detailed design development and through construction. This is a diverse role that will involve your contributions and insight into the effective delivery of the department’s current and future portfolio of projects.\nThis role is expected to start Summer 2027.\nJob responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nPerforming assignments related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary structures.\nPreparing engineering related calculations and developing drawings and visual aids\nPerforming condition inspections of highway or other structures in a variety of environments including confined spaces and at height (proper training and personal protection equipment will be provided)\nWorking under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member\n Minimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering\nDue to the nature of the work US citizenship is required\nPreferred Qualifications:\n0-2 years of experience\nMaster’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering\nEngineer-In-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)\nBasic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position including typical office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and drafting or modeling applications (MicroStation, AutoCad, etc.)\nProficiency in Steel and Concrete Design and Analysis\nAbility to perform field work (bridge inspections, drilling inspections)\nGood communication skills, including aptitude for technical report writing\nFlexibility to occasionally work alternate schedules (nights, weekends and holidays) and short-notice work assignments depending on project needs\nKnowledge of Geotechnical Engineering (soils, foundations, etc.)\n Relocation assistance is not available for this position.\nSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
