Join us.\n AECOM is seeking a highly talented Entry-Level Water Resources Dam Safety Engineer to join the East Region Dams Team. This position will support a variety Dam Safety Engineering projects across the East Region. The successful candidate will join the ENR consistently ranked #1 Dams and Reservoirs firm and have access to exciting career advancement opportunities. This position will report to the AECOM offices in the East Region including Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nProvide technical support to dam project managers, including design, analysis, inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of dams. Includes:\nProviding support for projects including design, analysis, inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities associated with a variety of dams.\nPerforming dam analysis and design such as hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, inspection and maintenance plans, emergency action plans, dam breach analyses, and alternative analyses.\nPreparing drawings and figures using AutoCAD Civil3D, GIS, and other software for dam projects.\nPreparing and writing technical reports for dam projects.\nConducting field observations and site visits for dam safety inspections and dam construction oversight.\nProgression toward greater responsibility, including task and project management and certification as a professional engineer.\nWork with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of Dam Safety Engineering projects.\nFlexibility and willingness to travel for project work part time as needed.\n Minimum Requirements:\nBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with demonstrated coursework in Water Resources Engineering.\nDue to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSuccessful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering Exam or ability to complete within 6 months of initial hire.\nAbility and desire to occasionally travel to project sites, both local and remote. Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.\nInterest in dams and other hydraulic structures.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nExperience in relevant water resources engineering software programs such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS Pro.\nMaster's degree in Civil Engineering.\n Relocation assistance is not available for this position.\nSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
