Join us.\n AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Intern with experience in the areas of Remediation for employment in the Rocky Hill, CT office. Our people bring deep industry knowledge to help you succeed.\nThe job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:\nUtilize basic scientific and technical principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to assist in developing solutions for technical problems with limited scope.\nConduct field assignments, such as: soil, groundwater, surface water and/or soil-gas/indoor air sampling, remediation and construction oversight, soil/bedrock drilling oversight under the supervision of an experienced engineer or scientist.\nInterpret and record analytical and field data, perform data analysis, assist with data visualization tasks, and compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.\nAssist with preparation of technical reports, summarizing findings and recommending remedial actions.\nWork under supervision of a project manager, technical lead, or other experienced team member.\n Minimum Requirements:\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or other related field)\nMust have completed 2 years of study\nPreferred Qualifications:\nKnowledge of environmental data collection, identification, investigation, and data entry\nProficiency in standard Microsoft office suite software applications\nStrong organizational, time-management, and written and verbal communication skills\nGIS and other data interpretation software skills are desirable (e.g., R, Grapher, Surfer, etc.)\n Sponsorship is not offered for this position. \nRelocation assistance is not offered for this position\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
