Join us.\n AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Remediation Project Manager to join our Environmental Remediation team in Kenova, West Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity to lead impactful environmental initiatives, advance into a larger leadership role, and contribute to AECOM’s mission of delivering sustainable and innovative solutions for our clients.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProject Management:\nLead and manage environmental remediation, assessment, and oil & gas projects from initiation to completion.\nEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.\nTechnical Expertise:\nApply technical knowledge to address environmental challenges, including remediation, groundwater contamination, soil treatment, waste management, and environmental compliance for oil and gas facilities, refineries, and industrial sites.\nClient Relations:\nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, regulators, and stakeholders.\nEnsure excellent customer service and timely communication regarding project updates, risks, and outcomes.\nRegulatory Compliance:\nStay up to date with environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards.\nEnsure all projects comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.\nOffice Leadership:\nManage and lead a team of professionals within the local office.\nProvide mentorship, training, and career development support to junior engineers, geologists, and project staff.\nBusiness Development:\nSupport business development efforts by identifying new opportunities.\nAssist with proposal development, contract negotiations, and client presentations.\n Minimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field.\n6+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project management, and business development, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.\nUS Citizen or US Permanent Resident. Sponsorship for this role now or in the future is NOT available. \nA valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check in accordance with company policy\nSuccessful candidate will have to pass a drug and alcohol testing. \nSuccessful candidaet will have to pass a background check. \nPreferred Qualifications:\n10+ years of experience in site investigation, remediation, project management, and business development.\nLicensed in the State of West Virginia or nearby states (Professional Engineer or Geologist).\nExperience working with state regulatory agencies in West Virginia or surrounding states.\nExperience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery.\nProven experience in business development.\n40-hour HAZWOPER certified (current), including 8-hour Supervisor training.\nPMP certification.\nExperience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations.\nDemonstrated success in managing environmental projects for various types of clients.\nDetail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.\nSuperior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for diverse audiences.\nExperience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
