Join us.\n AECOM is actively seeking three (3) talented, energetic technology-minded Geographic Information System (GIS) professionals for immediate employment in the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Geospatial Information and Services (IGI&S) office as a seconded employee. The GIS Specialist position is a full-time AECOM employee that will report to the Associate Vice President & GIS Sr Manager in the Technology Services Group and will support our United States Marine Corps (USMC) client within the Environment Business line. This position will be part of a team of GIS Specialists supporting the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton IGI&S Program with GIS data management, geospatial analysis and modeling, cartographic product development, and technical support. A successful candidate will work both independently and in close coordination with the project team to develop, deploy and support GIS across the installation.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nSupport the maintenance and implementation of the GIS data model for NENA Next Generation 9-1-1 Core Services for location validation and routing\nGather and review technical requirements to meet project goals\nDesign and implement quality assurance procedures to complete technical quality reviews of GIS data and applications\nFollow project plans to successfully execute assigned work\nMaintain quality assurance of spatial and non-spatial data and processes as per defined standards\nMaintain strong knowledge in existing and emerging GIS related software and technologies\nCreate and maintain GIS data in an ArcGIS Enterprise environment\nDevelop content within an enterprise ArcGIS Portal environment\nExhibit a solid understanding of geospatial data formats, coordinate systems, and GIS principles\nApply attention to detail with proactive and resourceful problem-solving skills\nCommunicate and collaborate with the project manager and project team lead to understand and document system/solution requirements\nOrganize, document, and communicate status updates to program leaders and relevant project teams\nDevelop visualizations and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, ArcGIS Pro, or Portal for ArcGIS to effectively communicate findings to technical and nontechnical stakeholders\nPrepare meeting materials, web maps, or figures for a variety of communities, stakeholders, and projects\nCreate, edit, or delete GIS features/attribute information within an enterprise geodatabase\nPrepare digital maps\nPossess excellent critical thinking, decision-making, conflict resolution, and analytical skills\n Minimum Requirements\nBachelor's Degree in CAD, BIM, GIS, Computer Science, Geography, Environmental Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field + 4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education\nValid Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.\nDue to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required\nPreferred Qualifications\nProficiency with applications such as:ArcGIS Enterprise, Pro, and Desktop Software\nExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D/AutoCAD Map\n\nExperience working with addressing, road centerline, and EMS data\nExperience with GPS data collection processes and the ability to lead teams in the field\nComfortable working outside and/or traveling occasionally to support field activities\nComfortable working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment\nMaintain knowledge in existing and emerging geospatial software and technologies\nGIS data management, technical writing, and geodatabase design experience\nGeneral understanding of relational database organization, design, and functionality\nAbility to learn and present best practices for data management including workflows, tools, governance models, and integration patterns\nDemonstrated knowledge of cartographic design and production concepts and principles\nDemonstrated experience with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE)\n Sponsorship is not available for this position\nRelocation is not available for this position\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
