Join us.\n We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional HSE Engineer (Site Supervision) to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental compliance across our operations, ensuring all activities meet or exceed regulatory standards and organizational policies. You will play a critical role in protecting our workforce and maintaining a safe working environment through proactive supervision, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupervise and monitor all site activities to ensure compliance with HSE regulations, UAE labor laws, and organizational safety standards\nConduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard identification to prevent workplace incidents and injuries\nDevelop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans and procedures tailored to project requirements\nPerform regular safety audits and inspections, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions\nInvestigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; analyze root causes and implement preventive measures\nProvide safety training and competency assessments to workers, ensuring they understand and follow safety protocols\nMaintain accurate HSE documentation, records, and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements\nCommunicate effectively with site management, contractors, and workers to promote a strong safety culture\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in safety management\nCoordinate with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and safety consultants, as needed\nMonitor and analyze safety performance metrics to track progress and identify trends\nEnsure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment on site\n Minimum 12 years of professional experience in HSE engineering or site safety supervision\nStrong knowledge of UAE and GCC HSE regulations, labor laws, and industry standards\nProven experience conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety audits\nDemonstrated expertise in incident investigation and root cause analysis\nProficiency in developing and implementing safety management systems and procedures\nNEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certification or equivalent HSE qualification (preferred)\nFamiliarity with ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management standards (preferred)\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
