Join us.\n **Key Responsibilities:**\nUnder limited supervision, responsible for moderately complex technical work in a wide range of environmental, safety and health disciplines to achieve compliance with ES&H standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements.\nMaintains current knowledge of specific government agency requirements and regulatory updates.\nExhibits knowledge and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of their environmental specialty.\nIndependently determines and develops approaches to solutions for complex ES&H challenges.\nDevelops, implements and maintains safety and health programs, systems and procedures. Monitors and prevents hazards and diseases in the work area.\nInvestigates accidents, injuries and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace, and prepares detailed incident reports.\nRecommends improvements in processes, design, procedures and operating equipment to minimize hazards and enhance operational efficiency.\nDevelops and conducts employee training, emergency preparedness programs and assures the quality of all ES&H initiatives.\nProvides regulatory interpretation and technical advice to management and operational teams.\nConducts internal audits and compliance assessments to verify adherence to ES&H policies and regulatory requirements.\nActs as a lead role for a team of ES&H specialists and/or support personnel, providing mentorship and professional development guidance.\nAdministers ES&H programs on small to medium-sized projects, ensuring consistent implementation and monitoring.\nManages ES&H program budgets and resources, tracking expenditures and optimizing cost-effectiveness.\nCommunicates ES&H performance metrics, audit findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.\nMaintains comprehensive documentation and records of safety programs, training activities, incidents and corrective actions for regulatory compliance.\n **Required Qualifications:**\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field\nMinimum 10 years of professional experience in environmental, safety, and health (ES&H) program management or related discipline\nDemonstrated knowledge of federal and state environmental, safety, and health regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.)\nProven experience developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and health programs and procedures\nExperience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and preparing technical reports\nDemonstrated ability to lead and mentor ES&H teams or support personnel\nStrong knowledge of compliance auditing and assessment methodologies\nProficiency in budget management and resource allocation\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior management and stakeholders\nAbility to work independently and solve complex ES&H challenges with limited supervision\n**Preferred Qualifications:**\nProfessional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)\nExperience administering ES&H programs on small to medium-sized projects\nProficiency with ES&H management software and data tracking systems\nExperience developing and conducting employee training and emergency preparedness programs\nKnowledge of process improvement methodologies and operational efficiency optimization\nExperience in a regulated industry or manufacturing environment\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
