Join us.\n AECOM is seeking a Hydrogeologist and Water Resources Engineer for employment in Mexico City, Mexico.\nThe responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:\nAssist in design activities including stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, roadway drainage, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, utility coordination, site design and environmental permitting;\nAssist with the development of preliminary to final design calculations and drawings;\nReview field information and perform field inspection of existing stormwater facilities;\nPerform technical writing for design reports and permitting applications; and\nUtilize MicroStation, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS/HMS, and a variety of Civil Engineering design software applications.\nPerforms GIS analyses to support engineering and technical services.\nProvides support to a diverse team of professionals in multiple offices throughout the country.\nReviews and assesses hydrologic, hydraulic, and levee analysis and documentation.\nPerforms quality assurance checks of hydrologic and hydraulic models, graphics and reports.\nPerforms simple to intermediate engineering and hydraulic modeling tasks.\nPosition requires that the candidate must be able to travel for agency/client meetings as well as field work.\nAssessing water and soil resources\nUnderstand groundwater flow models\nUnder direction, performs various technical and administrative tasks related to groundwater investigation.\nAssignments may cover entire field of hydrology & hydrogeology or other technical disciplines, under specific terms and with frequent professional staff review.\n Minimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering or other related Engineering field and 8+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education\nEnglish/Spanish Proficiency\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCapable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software;\nBasic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as CADD, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, HEC);\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nWork experience with drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design;\nExperience with water resources design software (StormCAD, HydroCAD, Pondpak, HEC-RAS); and\nMaster's degree in Geology, Civil Engineering or other related Engineering field.\n Relocation assistance is not available for this position now or in the future.\nSponsorship assistance is not available for this position now or in the future.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
