Join us.\n AECOM is seeking an Inspection Intern to be based in Rocky Hill, CT.\nThis person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:\nAssist in conducting on-site inspections of construction projects, focusing on roadway and transportation infrastructure.\nLearn and apply standard inspection techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out assigned tasks.\nObserve and document construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.\nCollect and organize field data, including measurements, photographs, and material samples.\nParticipate in the preparation of daily inspection reports and maintain accurate records of project progress.\nShadow experienced inspectors and engineers to gain practical knowledge of construction processes and inspection methodologies.\nAttend project meetings and site visits to enhance understanding of project management and stakeholder communication.\nAssist in reviewing construction drawings and specifications to familiarize with project requirements.\nLearn to use various inspection tools and equipment under supervision.\nContribute to the development of punch lists and assist in final inspections.\nParticipate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols on construction sites.\nEngage in continuous learning opportunities to expand knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.\nCollaborate with team members on small projects or specific aspects of larger projects to develop teamwork skills.\nPerform a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.\n Minimum Requirements:\nCandidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or a related discipline, and must have completed two years of study. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious internship experience is a plus.\nPrevious experience and/or an interest in roadway/transportation-related construction and/or inspection. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills. \nProficient with Microsoft Office programs. \n Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.\nRelocation is not available for this position.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
