Join us.\n The Instrumentation & Automation Engineer will be responsible for supervising, monitoring, and ensuring the successful execution of all instrumentation, control, automation, PLC, SCADA, and testing & commissioning activities for the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) project. The role involves review of design documents, technical submittals, installation works, calibration, testing, commissioning, and system integration to ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality requirements, project specifications, approved drawings, and international standards. The Engineer will coordinate closely with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless operation and delivery of all plant automation systems.\nManage and supervise instrumentation, control, automation, and SCADA works for the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).\nReview IFC drawings, specifications, control philosophies, instrument datasheets, and approved shop drawings.\nReview and approve instrumentation and automation material submittals and technical documents.\nSupervise installation of field instruments such as flow, level, pressure, temperature, pH, DO, turbidity, chlorine, and other process instruments.\nReview and coordinate P&IDs, instrument index, I/O lists, cable schedules, and instrument location drawings.\nSupervise installation and termination of instrument cables, junction boxes, marshalling panels, and control panels.\nCoordinate instrumentation works with civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and MEP disciplines.\nReview PLC, SCADA, HMI, RTU, and control system architecture and ensure compliance with project requirements.\nMonitor PLC and SCADA programming, configuration, graphics, alarms, trends, and communication interfaces.\nReview control logic, cause-and-effect diagrams, functional descriptions, and sequence of operations.\nSupervise installation and testing of actuated valves, control valves, motorized valves, and associated control equipment.\nEnsure proper calibration and configuration of all process instruments.\nWitness loop checking, point-to-point testing, functional testing, and signal verification.\nCoordinate testing and commissioning of instrumentation and automation systems with the commissioning team.\nVerify communication between PLC, SCADA, MCCs, VFDs, analyzers, remote panels, and other plant systems.\nReview and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) where applicable.\nEnsure instrumentation and automation works comply with Dubai Municipality requirements, project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable international standards.\nMonitor contractor activities and ensure compliance with approved method statements, ITPs, and quality procedures.\nInspect delivered instruments and equipment against approved material submittals and manufacturer requirements.\nIdentify and resolve technical issues, interface clashes, and discrepancies during construction.\nRaise and follow up Inspection Requests (IRs), Site Observations, and NCRs related to instrumentation and automation works.\nCoordinate with equipment suppliers and OEMs for installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning support.\nMonitor project progress and report instrumentation and automation status to the Resident Engineer/Project Manager.\nReview testing and commissioning procedures and ensure proper documentation is maintained.\nVerify calibration certificates, test reports, inspection records, and commissioning documentation.\nReview as-built drawings, O&M manuals, spare parts lists, training records, and handover documents.\nSupport final testing, commissioning, performance testing, and operational handover of the STP.\nEnsure all instrumentation and automation systems are fully functional and integrated before final handover.\n Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related discipline.\nMinimum 10-15 years of overall experience in instrumentation, control, automation, and SCADA systems.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Pumping Stations, or similar utility infrastructure projects.\nProven experience in installation, testing, commissioning, and operation of PLC, SCADA, HMI, RTU, MCC, VFD, analyzers, and process instrumentation systems.\nStrong knowledge of process instruments including flow, level, pressure, temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), turbidity, chlorine analyzers, and associated control systems.\nFamiliarity with P&IDs, instrument index, I/O schedules, cable schedules, control philosophies, cause-and-effect matrices, and functional descriptions.\nExperience in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), loop checking, signal verification, and integrated system testing.\nGood understanding of wastewater treatment processes and plant automation requirements.\nKnowledge of international standards and best practices related to instrumentation and industrial automation systems.\nFamiliarity with Dubai Municipality standards, specifications, and authority requirements for infrastructure and utility projects is highly preferred.\nExperience coordinating with contractors, suppliers, OEMs, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nExcellent technical reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nProfessional certification or
