Grow here.\nAt AECOM, we are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Infrastructure Quantity Surveyor - Aviation to join our Dublin office.\nThis is a hybrid role, with three days per week based on-site and the flexibility to work from home two days per week.\nThe Role\nAs an Intermediate Aviation Infrastructure Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial and cost management of major infrastructure and construction projects, working on behalf of the Contracting Entity.\nYou will contribute to effective cost control, contractual compliance, financial reporting and commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with senior team members, project managers, contractors and other stakeholders.\nYou will be part of a collaborative Cost Management team, gaining experience across pre-contract and post-contract activities while contributing to the successful delivery of a major, multi-year capital investment programme transforming a nationally significant infrastructure asset.\nWe welcome applications from candidates with:\nExperience working with the NEC Suite of Contracts, whether in a client, contractor or subcontractor environment.\n\nExperience delivering projects within the aviation sector, or within similarly complex, highly constrained or operational environments.\n\nA good understanding of cost management, commercial reporting, contract administration and project financial control.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nProgramme Cost Management & Commercial Control\nSupport the implementation and continuous improvement of cost management procedures, systems and commercial governance processes.\n\nMonitor project expenditure against approved budgets and forecasts, highlighting potential risks, variances and opportunities for improvement.\n\nAssist in the preparation and maintenance of cost reports, budget updates, cash-flow forecasts and financial performance reports.\n\nContribute to the review of contractor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including cost performance, forecasting accuracy and commercial compliance.\n\nAssist with the commercial management of variations, change control, retention, liquidated damages assessments and other contractual matters.\n\nSupport project risk reviews by identifying and assessing potential cost and commercial implications.\n\nAssist in reviewing forecast final costs and cost reports, ensuring information is accurate, consistent and up to date.\n\nSupport the assessment of contractor claims, commercial queries and contractual entitlements, escalating complex matters to senior team members as appropriate.\n\nContribute to value-for-money initiatives through cost analysis, procurement support, benchmarking and commercial reviews.\n\nMaintain effective communication with contractors, consultants, suppliers and other project stakeholders to support successful project delivery.\n\nAssist in preparing commercial reports and providing cost management advice to the wider project team.\n\nWork collaboratively with senior Quantity Surveyors and the wider Cost Management team to achieve programme objectives.\n\nPre-Contract & Post-Contract Cost Management\nReview and assist in the preparation of schedules of rates, bills of quantities, cost plans and pre-tender estimates.\n\nSupport the development of project budgets and cost plans, ensuring alignment with programme requirements.\n\nAssist with procurement activities, including tender documentation, tender evaluations, commercial comparisons and benchmarking.\n\nReview monthly valuations, interim payment applications, cost reports and variation submissions.\n\nAssist in assessing variations and change requests in accordance with contractual requirements and established commercial procedures.\n\nMonitor project costs and commitments, identifying emerging trends, potential overspends and opportunities for cost savings.\n\nSupport the preparation and review of final accounts, working with senior team members to resolve outstanding commercial matters and achieve timely project close-out.\n\nEnsure payment assessments and commercial documentation are completed accurately and in line with contractual requirements.\n\nMaintain clear and organised records of costs, variations, valuations and other commercial information.\n\nDevelop your technical and commercial expertise while working alongside experienced professionals on complex infrastructure projects.\n\n Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?\nHere’s what we’re looking for\nWe are seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveying professional with a proven track record of delivering complex projects across core infrastructure markets, including the aviation sector.\nYou’ll bring:\nDegree qualified - BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or a related discipline.\nProfessionally qualified - Registered on the Statutory Register of Quantity Surveyors in Ireland, with Chartered Quantity Surveyor status through RICS or SCSI highly desirable.\nStrong digital capability - Excellent IT skills, with the ability to effectively use digital measurement, cost planning, estimating, and tender documentation tools.\nInfrastructure experience - Demonstrable experience across major infrastructure projects, with aviation experience particularly advantageous.\nCommercial expertise -
