Join us.\n We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mechanical Engineer - Design to join our engineering team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical components and systems. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to transform concepts into functional designs while ensuring compliance with industry standards and manufacturing feasibility.\nDevelop detailed mechanical designs and technical drawings using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to engineering specifications\nConduct design analysis and simulations to evaluate performance, stress, and durability of mechanical components\nAnalyze design requirements and translate them into comprehensive design solutions that meet functional and operational objectives\nCollaborate with manufacturing, quality, and product teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with production capabilities\nPerform material selection and analysis to optimize component performance and manufacturing efficiency\nDocument design modifications and maintain organized design files and project records\nReview and validate designs against industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements\nParticipate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations for continuous improvement\nSupport prototyping and testing phases by providing design guidance and troubleshooting technical issues\nMaintain organized project documentation and ensure all design files are properly archived and version-controlled\n **Required Qualifications:**\nMinimum 10 years of professional experience in mechanical design or product development\nProficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent\nStrong knowledge of mechanical design principles, engineering fundamentals, and manufacturing processes\nDemonstrated ability to create detailed technical drawings and design documentation\nSolid analytical and problem-solving skill set with attention to detail\nExperience with material selection and understanding of material properties\nFamiliarity with relevant industry standards and quality requirements (ISO, ASME, or similar)\nStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment\n**Preferred Qualifications:**\nExperience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and design simulation software\nBackground in design optimization and performance analysis\nExperience in automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, or related industries\nKnowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems\nExperience with 3D modeling and advanced CAD techniques\nFamiliarity with quality assurance and design verification processes\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
