Join us.\n AECOM is seeking a Project Controls - Senior Scheduler who will support the planning, development, maintenance, analysis, review and reporting of design and construction schedules for projects throughout the Boston area. The successful candidate will have strong technical scheduling expertise, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a transparent, client-focused environment.\nThis position requires extensive knowledge of vertical construction, including institutional and high-rise projects, and demonstrated experience developing and evaluating cost- and resource-loaded schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM).\nDevelop, update, and maintain detailed cost- and resource-loaded design and construction schedules using Primavera P6.\nReview contractor schedule submissions for compliance with contractual requirements and established scheduling standards.\nPerform comprehensive schedule reviews, including evaluations of:Schedule logic, sequencing, and constraints\nActivity durations, calendars, and assigned float\nCost and resource loading\nEarned value and physical percent complete\nCritical, longest, and near-critical paths\n\nPrepare biweekly and monthly schedule update analyses and progress reports.\nAssess project progress against approved baselines, milestones, and contractual completion dates.\nInvestigate schedule impacts and recommend corrective actions to mitigate or avoid cost and schedule overruns.\nDevelop look-ahead schedules, mitigation and recovery schedules, and “what-if” schedule scenarios.\nPerform Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) and evaluate proposed schedule changes.\nAssess project delays and review contractor delay analyses, claims, and requests for time extensions.\nIdentify schedule-related risks, issues, and opportunities and recommend appropriate corrective actions.\nConduct regular site visits and field walk-throughs to validate reported progress and physical percent complete.\nMonitor and report project schedule status to the Program Scheduler, project leadership, senior management, and executive management.\nClearly communicate project status, schedule concerns, and construction progress to the client and other stakeholders.\nPresent schedule analyses and project updates during meetings with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.\nCollaborate with project teams to support effective planning, forecasting, decision-making, and project delivery.\nMinimum requirements:\nBachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering and/or Construction management plus 8 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nExperience in the preparation, development of resource loaded Design and Construction Schedules using Critical Path Method (CPM).\nPreferred Requirements:\n12 plus years of planning and scheduling / project controls; experience on multiple sides of the business (i.e., Consultant, Owner, Owner Representative, Architect, Contractor, Engineer).\nProject Delivery experience in Design Bid Build (DBB), Design-Build (DB), Construction Management at Risk (CMAR).\nExperience with schedule management on transportation programs.\nExperience with schedule evolution from estimating through design - construction - closeout including changes.\nPSP / CCM / DBIA certification a plus.\n Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.\nRelocation assistance is not available for this position.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
