Join us.\n In the AI Engineering team, we build AI-driven technology that revolutionises how infrastructure and buildings are designed and engineered; reducing waste, cutting CO₂, and making the built environment more efficient and sustainable.\nWe are now building out the delivery team for our mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) products, and we are looking for innovators who want to be part of shaping the future of project delivery.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a Project Delivery Engineer in the AI Engineering team, you will sit at the intersection of engineering, technology, and client delivery. Supporting AECOM's AI design platform, you will help shape product development, assure the quality of engineering outputs and work directly with customers to capture and translate requirements into practical deliverables.\nIt is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who is technically credible across MEP, detail-driven, and genuinely curious about how technology can change existing ways of working.\nTechnical Leadership & Client Engagement - Apply broad MEP engineering expertise to review designs and calculations, translate client requirements into deliverables, manage stakeholder relationships, and coordinate priorities to support successful project delivery.\nProduct Delivery & Quality Assurance: Test and evaluate product features, provide engineering-led feedback to developers, identify and help resolve defects, and ensure design outputs meet quality standards before being issued to clients.\nInnovation & Continuous Improvement - Champion the adoption of AI and emerging technologies, leverage digital tools to improve delivery, and help shape new ways of working that enhance engineering efficiency and quality across AECOM.\n Must-Have Qualifications\nQualifications & Experience: HNC, HND, or degree in a relevant engineering discipline, with proven experience designing and/or reviewing MEP systems.\nMEP Engineering Expertise: Broad understanding of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems, with the ability to review design information and assess the suitability of MEP calculations and outputs.\nDesign Review & Quality Assurance: Strong attention to detail with experience reviewing engineering deliverables, performing quality checks, and identifying errors, inconsistencies, and software defects.\nClient & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with the confidence to lead meetings, capture requirements, manage expectations, and build strong relationships with clients and technical teams.\nProject & Delivery Coordination: Able to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders to ensure successful and timely delivery.\n Digital & Technical Capability: Comfortable working in a 3D BIM environment and using digital tools, including AI and large language models (LLMs), to improve productivity and delivery.\nCollaboration & Adaptability: A proactive team player who is eager to learn, adaptable to changing priorities, and motivated to continuously improve ways of working.\nPreferred Skills\nBIM & Digital Engineering Tools: Proficient in BIM platforms such as Revit, Solibri, and similar tools, with a strong understanding of model-based design workflows.\nModel Preparation & Data Quality: Experienced in preparing and validating Revit models for use in digital and AI-enabled workflows, including managing spaces and rooms, verifying asset classification and metadata, and supporting conversion from Revit to IFC formats.\nBroad Industry Experience: Exposure to a range of building types and project sectors, with experience working across different international\n Our Hiring Process\nCombined technical and cultural interview (in-person)Technical Interview: 1-hour with 2 of our engineers\nCulture fit: 30-minute meeting with our leadership team\n\nWhy Join Us?\nContribute to making the built environment smarter and more sustainable.\nBe part of a team where your work matters, and your ideas become real.\nCollaborate with sharp, driven colleagues in a culture of trust, ownership, and high standards.\nWork on real-world engineering problems where AI creates measurable impact.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
