Join us.\n We are seeking an experienced and decisive Project Director to lead our Infrastructure Storm Water Project Management Consultant (PMC) team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this leadership role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of critical storm water infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and will be responsible for driving project success through strategic planning, effective team management, and meticulous attention to detail.\nDirect and oversee all aspects of storm water infrastructure projects from conception through completion, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements\nDevelop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress and implement corrective actions to maintain project performance\nLead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants; provide clear direction and performance feedback\nIdentify, analyze, and mitigate project risks; develop contingency plans to address potential challenges\nManage stakeholder communications and relationships, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables\nOversee contract management, procurement, and vendor coordination to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness\nConduct quality assurance reviews and inspections to verify that work meets design specifications and regulatory standards\nMonitor project budgets and expenditures; implement cost control measures and prepare financial reports\nEnsure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and safety requirements throughout project execution\nPrepare and present project reports, performance metrics, and recommendations to senior management and clients\n Minimum 20 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a director or senior management role overseeing infrastructure projects\nProven expertise in storm water management, drainage systems, or related civil infrastructure projects\nStrong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices (PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent)\nProficiency in project management software and tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar)\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure\nStrong leadership capabilities with experience managing and motivating cross-functional teams\nExpertise in contract management, procurement, and vendor coordination\nKnowledge of construction practices, civil engineering principles, and infrastructure delivery\nExceptional organizational and time management skills\nOutstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities\nExperience working on infrastructure projects in the UAE or Middle East region (preferred)\nFamiliarity with local regulations, building codes, and environmental compliance standards in the UAE (preferred)\nProfessional project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) (preferred)\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
