In this pivotal role, you will oversee and execute infrastructure projects from conception through completion, ensuring exceptional delivery standards, adherence to timelines and budgets, and outstanding client satisfaction. You will be instrumental in driving project success through strategic planning, proactive risk management, and collaborative team leadership. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on significant infrastructure initiatives while fostering innovation and operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage and execute infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, scope adherence, and budget compliance\nDevelop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies; monitor progress and implement corrective actions as needed\nServe as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns promptly, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring consistent satisfaction\nCommunicate project updates, milestones, and changes to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner\nIdentify potential risks and uncertainties; develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project stability and success\nSupervise and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams and design partners to ensure cohesive project execution and quality deliverables\nOversee design coordination processes, ensuring design outputs meet project requirements, industry standards, and client expectations\nDevelop and implement project management best practices and standard operating procedures to drive operational efficiency\nConduct regular project reviews and post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement\nAnalyse project performance using appropriate tools and techniques; prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders\nEnsure compliance with construction regulations, local authorities’ requirements, and standards in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, and with contractual obligations\n MinimumExperience\n9 years of progressive experience in infrastructure project management\nProven track record of successfully managing medium-scale infrastructure projects from initiation to completion\nDomain expertise in infrastructure development, civil engineering projects, or related disciplines\nDemonstrated experience in coordinating design processes and managing design teams within infrastructure projects\nStrong background in budget management, schedule optimisation, and resource planning\nExperience managing projects in the UAE or GCC region is highly desirable\nSkills and Competencies\nProficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project, or equivalent platforms)\nExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach\nComprehensive understanding of consultancy agreements, construction contracts, risk management frameworks, and claims avoidance strategies\nProficiency in time management and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools\nKnowledge of construction regulations, local authorities’ requirements, and standards in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, including standard consultancy agreements is a must\nKnowledge of standard D&B contracts used on Abu Dhabi and the UAE is preferred\nCertifications and Domain Expertise\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred\nPRINCE2 certification or similar project management methodology certification is preferred\nFamiliarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital project management tools is preferred\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
