Join us.\n Job Summary\nThe QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Project Quality Management System to ensure that all infrastructure works comply with contract requirements, approved drawings, technical specifications, authority regulations, and applicable international standards. The role oversees quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the project lifecycle, from construction through testing & commissioning, handover, and project close-out.\nThe QA/QC Engineer works closely with the Resident Engineer, Material Engineer, Contractors, Laboratories, Authorities, and Project Team to promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and compliance.\nKey Job Duties\n1. Quality Management\nImplement and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and QA/QC procedures.\nEnsure construction activities comply with contract specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.\nMonitor contractor compliance with approved Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures.\nConduct regular quality audits and site inspections.\n2. Inspection & Testing\nCoordinate inspection activities and witness material and field testing.\nReview inspection requests, laboratory reports, and test results.\nVerify compliance of completed works prior to approval.\nEnsure proper documentation of all inspections and testing activities.\n3. Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions\nReview and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs), and corrective action plans.\nEnsure timely implementation and close-out of corrective and preventive actions.\nIdentify recurring quality issues and recommend improvement measures.\n4. Material & Documentation Control\nCoordinate with the Material Engineer regarding material approvals and compliance.\nReview quality-related submittals, technical documents, and as-built records.\nMaintain quality registers, inspection records, and project documentation.\n5. Stakeholder Coordination\nLiaise with the Client, Contractors, Authorities, and Testing Laboratories on quality-related matters.\nParticipate in quality meetings, technical reviews, and project inspections.\nSupport testing & commissioning and final handover activities.\n6. Reporting & Continuous Improvement\nPrepare quality reports, KPI dashboards, and audit summaries.\nMonitor quality performance trends and recommend process improvements.\nPromote best practices and quality awareness across the project team\n Required Qualifications & Experience\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.\nLead Auditor (ISO 9001) certification or equivalent quality management certification is preferred.\nExperience\nMinimum 10-15 years of QA/QC experience on major infrastructure projects.\nProven experience in roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, public realm, and transportation projects.\nStrong experience in construction supervision and consultancy environments.\nExperience with UAE authority requirements and quality management procedures is highly desirable.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong knowledge of QA/QC systems, ISO 9001, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and construction quality standards.\nExperience reviewing material approvals, laboratory testing, NCRs, SORs, and quality documentation.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, document management systems (e.g., Asite), and quality reporting tools.\nGood understanding of FIDIC contracts and construction supervision practices.\nBehavioural & Management Competencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality excellence.\nAbility to manage multiple quality activities under demanding project schedules.\nProfessional, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement, compliance, and client satisfaction.\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
