Join us.\n We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in infrastructure projects, providing expertise across surveying, cost management, contract administration, and project close-out activities. The role involves conducting accurate land and site surveys, preparing cost estimates and CESMM-based BoQs, managing FIDIC contracts, evaluating variations and claims, and ensuring successful financial and contractual closure of projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality results throughout the project lifecycle.\nWorks independently on routine tasks with minimal supervision; receives general guidance on new assignments\nConducts land and site surveys using modern surveying instruments and electronic equipment\nManages land information systems, including data storage, analysis, and reporting\nReviews survey data (distances, angles, elevations) for accuracy and completeness\nResearches legal records to establish and verify boundary lines\nPrepares and verifies survey reports, maps, and drawings\nApplies strong expertise within specialization to solve varied and complex problems\nPre-Contract Duties\nPrepare cost plans, budgets, and feasibility studies\nPerform quantity take-offs and prepare CESMM-based BoQs\nDevelop tender documents and pricing schedules\nEvaluate bids and provide commercial recommendations\nApply value engineering to optimize costs\nPost-Contract Duties\nAdminister contracts (preferably FIDIC)\nMonitor costs, forecasts, and cash flow\nEvaluate and negotiate variations, claims, and payments\nManage remeasurement and post-contract rates\nLead commercial negotiations and handle disputes/claims\nContract Close-Out\nFinalize final accounts\nManage TOC and DLP processes\nIssue Defects Liability Certificates\nEnsure full contractual and financial closure\n Minimum 10 years of Quantity Surveying experience\nStrong experience in infrastructure and utility projects, specifically: STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) and DM projects (Drainage/Design Management)\nStormwater networks\nIrrigation systems\nSewage and drainage connections\n\nProven experience across all QS functions:Cost planning\nQuantity take-offs\nCESMM-based BoQs\nEstimation and tendering\nClaims evaluation and negotiation\nPost-contract administration\n\n Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc QS) or Civil Engineering - preferred\nRelevant tertiary qualifications in Construction, Civil Engineering, or related field\nProfessional Certification\n MRICS (Member of RICS) - preferred\nEquivalent professional membership considered an advantage\nSkills & Competencies\nIn-depth knowledge of CESMM standards\nStrong understanding of infrastructure utility works (STP, stormwater, irrigation, sewer)\nFamiliarity with FIDIC and similar contract conditions\nExcellent commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills\nProficient in QS software and advanced MS Excel\nStrong communication and stakeholder management abilities\nHigh accuracy and attention to detail\nAdditional Requirements\nExperience working on large-scale infrastructure/utility projects in urban environments\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nStrong coordination with engineering and project management teams\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
