Join us.\n AECOM is currently seeking a Resident Engineer for a project location within the New Jersey Metro area.\nThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:\nMulti-contract management, Construction Management, Project Management responsibilities (To include; staffing, budget, deliverables, project status reports)\nAbility to work in teams providing strong leadership abilities. Decisive under pressure with a calm personality with thorough understanding of all aspects of contract administration will be required.\nA demonstrated understanding of managing multiple, complex, interconnected construction schedules in a congested and active treatment plant is essential. \nReviewing project progress and schedule requiring strong construction coordination skills\nQA/QC program compliance\nFinal review and authorization of contractor payments including confirmation of Prevailing Wage interviews with trades per SOP\nGood disputes avoidance skills and ability to align interests and keep different parties working together. Will be responsible for review and resolution and/or approval of Inspector and Contractor reporting, forms, testing, compliance and coordination issues.\nParticipates in the negotiation of all Change Orders\nReviewing the contractor’s CPM schedule with assistance from the Scheduler, to assure that the schedule conforms to the CPM format required by the contract documents \nNotification to the contractor of any work that does not conform to the requirements of the contract documents. This shall be accomplished by issuing the formal Notice of Non-Conformance\nConfirming that the contractor is submitting all submittals for review in a timely fashion so as not to inhibit the progress of the work\nEstablishing and maintaining the project files\nReview of Client draft letters\nReview of Monthly Client Reports\nAssist inspection staff in expediting solutions to technical field problems with design\nEstablish, update and write project procedures and Project Work Plan\nMonitor safety activities per AECOM scope of work\nVerifying that all field testing, start-up, and operation and maintenance training activities are conducted in accordance with the contract documents\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental engineering and 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and /or education.\nNew Jersey (PE) license\nConstruction Management experience on at least one large, long term wastewater, high value wastewater treatment capital improvement program (or aggregate of $350M+ in value)\nKnowledge of applicable codes and regulations\nOSHA 30\nValid U.S. Driving License\nPreferred Qualifications\n15+ years of construction experience in the Wastewater industry\nCCM Qualification\nWorking With FEMA\n Relocation assistance is not available for this role.\nSponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.\nTHIS POSTING IS FOR A CURRENT VACANCY, AND AECOM INTENDS TO FILL THIS POSITION BY JANUARY 28, 2027\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
