Join us.\n Job Summary\nThe Resident Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for providing site-based engineering supervision and technical oversight of mechanical works within large and complex building projects in an international airport environment. The role ensures that mechanical installations comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, applicable standards, quality requirements, and project schedules. The Resident Engineer coordinates with the client, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure the successful delivery of mechanical systems, preferably within airport cargo facilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide site-based supervision of mechanical works, including HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, and associated mechanical systems.\nMonitor mechanical construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable standards.\nReview mechanical shop drawings, technical submissions, material approvals, and inspection requests.\nCoordinate mechanical site activities with electrical, architectural, structural, fire protection, and other project disciplines.\nMonitor construction progress, installation quality, and compliance with project schedules.\nIdentify technical issues, design discrepancies, and interface conflicts and coordinate their resolution.\nEnsure compliance with project quality, health and safety, airport security, and operational requirements.\nCoordinate with the client, contractors, consultants, and airport authorities on mechanical engineering matters.\nReview inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.\nSupervise and monitor mechanical testing, commissioning, and system performance verification.\nPrepare site inspection reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.\nSupport project meetings, risk management, practical completion, and final handover activities.\n Recognized Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.\nMembership of APM or another recognized project management institution.\nMinimum 15 years of professional experience in large or complex building projects, preferably including cargo facilities.\nMinimum 10 years of experience in major international airport projects, preferably involving cargo terminals.\nProven experience in mechanical engineering, construction supervision, and resident engineering.\nStrong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, and mechanical building services systems.\nExperience in reviewing technical submissions, shop drawings, inspection requests, and quality documentation.\nKnowledge of testing and commissioning procedures, applicable engineering standards, and quality control requirements.\nExcellent leadership, communication, coordination, and technical reporting skills.\nFamiliarity with airport safety, security, and operational requirements.\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
