No matter where you sit in the organization you can make a lasting impact on the projects you work on, the teams and committees you join and our business.\nWe offer competitive pay and benefits, well-being programs to support you and your family, and the development resources you need to advance your career.\nWhen you join us, you will connect and collaborate with a global network of experts - planners, designers, engineers, scientists, consultants, program and construction managers - leading the change toward a more sustainable and equitable future.\n Work Location : HKUST, Clear Water Bay, Hong Kong\nDuties: The duties of the Resident Safety Officer (Construction) shall include, but not be limited to, the following:\nResponsible for on-site reporting to the Client and Contract Administrator, and carry out assigned duties.\nCarry out routine site safety supervision for building construction.\nIdentify unsafe acts and physical conditions across site operations and ensure immediate corrective action is taken.\nEnsure contractor site safety precautionary measures implementation.\nInvestigate and record all near-misses, incidents and accident cases, and prepare detailed reports, recommend preventive measures, and track corrective action items to closure.\nEnsure site compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and contract requirements.\nCarry out ad-hoc inspections and attend relevant meetings.\n The minimum qualifications required for the post of Resident Safety Officer (Construction) shall be as follows:\nRegistered as Safety Officer and Safety Auditor under Labour Department.\nMinimum 10 years’ solid construction site experience.\nHospital project, or client-side or client facing project experience preferred.\nStrong knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.\nFluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese\nNeed to be on duty on Saturday and Sunday with time off compensation as assigned.\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
