Join us.\n AECOM is seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in Virginia and/or the District of Columbia to serve as a Senior CMI Project Manager / Deputy CMI Market Sector Lead. This position will support AECOM’s growing Construction Management and Inspection (CMI) transportation business throughout Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia.\nResponsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:\nManage all phases of Construction Management and Inspection (CMI) projects from planning through closeout, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved\nServe as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional client service\nProvide technical leadership and guidance on constructability reviews, field engineering challenges, and construction-related issues throughout project execution\nApply extensive construction management experience to support project owners, field staff, and multidisciplinary teams in resolving complex technical and operational issues\nLead, mentor, and develop project teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and professional growth among engineers, inspectors, and technical staff\nCoordinate and oversee the work of engineers, inspectors, and technicians, ensuring resources are effectively managed to meet project objectives\nInterpret, organize, execute, and coordinate technical assignments requiring sound engineering judgment and knowledge of transportation construction practices\nCollaborate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to support project delivery, resolve technical issues, and ensure effective communication across all phases of the project\nExercise independent judgment in resolving technical and project management matters while operating with minimal supervision and broad administrative direction\nSupport business development efforts by identifying opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and assisting with the preparation of proposals and project pursuits\nEnsure compliance with contract requirements, applicable regulations, quality standards, and AECOM policies and procedures\n Minimum Requirements:\nBachelors degree in Civil Engineering plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education\nPrevious experience working on VDOT and/or DDOT projects\nPE License in DC, Maryland or Virginia or the ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within 6 months of hire\nCCM \nDue to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMinimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Construction Management and Inspection (CMI), including experience managing\nDemonstrated recent project and client experience in northern portion of Virginia or DC region\nPrevious experience working with VDOT in the northern portion of Virginia and/or DDOT\n Sponsorship is not available for this role\nRelocation support is not available for this position\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
