Join us.\n AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to joln our multi-disciplinary design team addressing the most challenging engineering tasks in power generation. It is an excellent career opportunity for an engineer with a strong technical background and looking to grow into a project technical leadership role.\nThe responsibilities of this role also include, but may not be limited to, the following:\nServe as Electrical or I&C Lead on all size projects maintaining responsibility for deliverable development and contributing to the design work\nProvide mentorship to other electrical and I&C engineers within the department and other remote teams\nDevelop task and deliverable list with associated hours estimate and schedule to support business development activities\nProvide technical expertise for risk assessments, due diligence and other studies presenting complex technical solutions to clients.\nSupport projects through complete life cycle including the feasibility phase, preliminary and detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning\nPerform engineering calculations and modeling such as Power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protective coordination, arc flash analysis), ampacity, cable sizing, conduit sizing, transformer sizing, Grounding Analysis and Design, underground cable and duct bank, etc.\nDirect and contribute to the development of electrical construction drawings such as physical layout of equipment and infrastructure, one line and three line diagrams, loop diagrams, relay and metering one lines, wiring diagrams and schematics, panel layouts and schedules\nDevelop bills of material and Electrical, Instrument and I/O Lists - Cable and Conduit Schedules, Load List, Equipment List\nDevelop equipment specifications, data sheets and packages for equipment such as instrumentation, control valves transformers, switchgear, MCC’s, relays, etc.\nPerforms quality control reviews of work developed by others\nParticipating in and presenting engineering work at internal and client meetings including those requiring occasional travel\nAt AECOM, we’re delivering a better world.\nWe believe infrastructure creates opportunity for everyone. We’re one global team - 47,000 strong - driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.\n Minimum Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering\n6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license\n12+ years of experience with Power Generation Facilities\n5+ years of experience as project technical Electrical lead/electrical engineer of record\nExpert knowledge in the design and specification for field devices (meters, temperature, pressure, flow, and analytical instrumentation and control valves)\nProficiency with control systems including PLC or DCS based systems including automation and programming \nExperience in engineer and design of Combined Cycle Plants and/or Nuclear Generation Stations\nMedium Voltage design experience\nComplex electrical modeling experience (parallel generators, load balancing)\nField construction and commissioning experience\nSuccessful experience working in remote and multi-discipline teams\nExpert familiarity with industry codes and standards (IBC, NFPA, NEC, NESC, IEEE, etc.).\nPower systems analysis software proficiency (e.g. ETAP, SKM, EasyPower)\nExperience working in collaborative model environments (e.g. Navisworks, BIM 360)\nDemonstrated experience in participating in complex, multi-discipline programs/projects\n Relocation assistance is not available for this position\nSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
