Join us.\n AECOM's Building Services Engineering team is expanding and we are looking to hire a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong Data Center experience to support the design and delivery of mission-critical facilities for different clients.\nIn this role, you will play a key part in the design and development of resilient, high-performance electrical infrastructure for Data Centers. You will actively contribute to engineering calculations, technical design development, equipment selection, and design reviews, while providing technical leadership throughout all project phases, from concept design through to construction support.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the design and delivery of MV/LV electrical systems for Data Center facilities.\nDevelop electrical designs, calculations, single-line diagrams, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.\nDesign critical power systems including substations, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, STS, PDUs, and grounding networks.\nPerform and review power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, and reliability analyses.\nReview engineering deliverables and ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable standards, and industry best practices.\nAct as the technical lead for electrical projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers.\nEngage with clients throughout project delivery, including technical reviews, workshops, and proposal development.\nSupport construction activities and contribute to innovative and sustainable solutions for mission-critical environments.\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to work on complex, large-scale Data Center projects for leading global clients.\nExposure to international, multidisciplinary teams and industry-leading technical expertise.\nFlexible working arrangements and a strong focus on employee wellbeing.\nA collaborative environment that supports professional growth, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.\nCompetitive compensation package.\nThe chance to contribute to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions for mission-critical facilities.\nClear career development opportunities within a global engineering and infrastructure consultancy.\n Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.\nAt least 8 years of experience in electrical design, including Data Centers, mission-critical facilities, or similar high-performance environments.\nProfessional working proficiency in both English and Spanish.\nStrong knowledge of IEC, NFPA, IEEE, BS, and EN standards.\nProficiency with ETAP, Caneco, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP.\nExperience acting as a technical lead on electrical engineering projects and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.\n At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
